From the words of Ali's sweet grandma, "that was the most fun I've had in a long time!"
This day - turned out so well and was such a blast to put on! I had the help of some of my sisters and bestie to throw this event for our soon to be sister in law, Ali.
We had the party at 11am so we did a brunch charcuterie board, smoothies, and drinks. If you're local, check out Shelby's catering company, comment below for the link to her site. She made chicken and waffles, egg bites, fruit tarts, and caramel cinnamon rolls. Everything was to die for and the food was the talk of the party! Shelby is so reasonable and is a phenomenal cook.
My bestie and I have loved to throw parties for as long as I can remember. She gets her creative touches and eye for details from her mama and I love to have a plan and go big or go home so we thrive together. For this party we actually made this floor table and the arch that holds the flowers on the deck. In a later blog post I'm going to go into detail on what supplies we used and how we did it.
For the flowers, I picked up bundles from Trader Joe's and spent $46 for all of them - so reasonable! They have the best selection for a good price and you can mix and match all you want. We used the flowers to make a big display as you walk in the door and a hanging display outside for a photo op. I used chicken wire and made a long tube, put some floral foam blocks inside (did not soak in water) and then used twine to hang it up on our pole. It worked like a charm and was the prettiest backdrop!
