After almost a year of stepping away from blogging, I'm ready to jump back in! Wow, a lot has happened since I last shared a post on here. It's time to catch you up on what you missed and where I'm at now.
2019 - 2020 Catchup
A lot happened at the end of 2019 that took my focus away from just doing what I love, I felt a little lost. I was working as an in home caregiver for a gentlemen who lived in my town. I loved what I was doing -- it wasn't my dream job but I grew attached to him and his family and truly felt fulfilled in where I was at. Sometime in November there were some serious problems with the family, I can't really go into detail but let's just say the cops were involved, restraining orders put in place, and I was now out of a job. Completely in shock, for the first time in my life I struggled with anxiety due to the trauma I had faced. It took some time to fully heal and figure out my next step. In January I became the Director of a fitness center near me. I jumped into that without having much training and was figuring it out as I went. Come March we're dealing with a world wide pandemic and I'm trying to navigate the steps I need to take for this business. So much stress was involved in this time and I'm so thankful we were FINALLY able to reopen in June. Life has been a whirlwind this past year, I wouldn't change it for anything but I didn't expect it either.
Where I'm At Now
So, it's past June, where am I now? I'm still the Director of the fitness center and keeping busy there. I have also been doing a lot of photography and working on building my portfolio! This Saturday I am actually shooting my first wedding (wish me luck!) and I can't wait. I enjoyed such an unexpectedly good Summer - I was able to go to Florida twice with my best friend (oh and we took the private jet, I mean WHAT?!), lots of lake time, my nephew was born, I went to Utah and my friend eloped, more friends got married, and I made some extra special new friends as well. Summer spoiled me and I'm so thankful for it. Now...jumping into FALL!
What To Expect Moving Forward
Y'all, I'm working hard at getting some fun brand deals to feature some cute clothes and fun shoots. I'm currently working with LOFT and having a blast, keep your eye on my instagram for pictures in those clothes. I'm planning on writing a new blog post every MONDAY and if I get really consistent, I'm going to throw in Thursday's too. So watch for those, Instagram I'm going to be posting every other day and try to be really consistent. I got burnt out before trying to do too much but I'm going to be consistent with blogging and instagram first, and then hopefully add in some YouTube and other fun things as well. Exciting things to come!
